Group Inbox

A Group Mailbox is an optional feature that allows delegates to access and respond to messages on behalf of the account owner. It is configured by the account owner, who has the power to assign delegates. (See Group Inbox Configuration for information on configuring the group mailbox delegates.) Delegates are granted account privileges to access the owner's Group Mailbox, where they can view and respond to the owner's messages. When they respond on behalf of the account owner, the message will be sent from the delegate's account, with their SecureMail address in the From field.

A delegate's Group Inbox is accessed from the Member Center. In the Group Inbox, you can distinguish between the delegate accounts using the "To" field, which you can sort by.

To view a message, click the subject of the message. When viewing a message, you can Forward, Reply To Sender, Reply To All, Download Message and view attachments. These functions operate in the same way as the standard Inbox.

Delegates also possess the capability to Delete and Copy messages to their own mailboxes. These capabilities are discussed below.

Delete

It is a simple process wherein any delegate with access to a Group Mailbox may click the checkbox next to a desired message or messages and click the Delete button.

Copy Message

This is also a relatively simple process where all a user has to do is click the checkboxes for the message or messages that they wish to copy and then select the desired folder in the Copy To Folder… drop-down. Please note that by copying a message there is no transfer of ownership taking place. To be brief the messages are actually forwarded to the desired folder, so be aware that any replies will be directed at whomever the message was last sent to.
