Manage Folders

You can organize messages that you send and receive by storing them in folders.  To view messages within an Inbox or Track Sent folder, use the "View Folder" drop-down lists on the Inbox and Track Sent screens. You can also view messages in a folder by clicking on the folder name in the Manage Folders screen. To manage folders select the Member Center menu bar link, and then choose the Folders link. The following features are available to manage folders:

Built-in Folders

SecureMail contains built-in folders. The Inbox and Track Sent folders are the two main folder types. Each folder type has built-in folders under them including Trash and Deleted Trash. Built-in folders cannot be deleted or renamed. You cannot move messages from an Inbox folder type to a Track Sent folder type or the other way around.

View Folder Contents

Click on any folder name to view the messages in that folder.

New Folder

Select the New Folder button to create a new folder.  An Add New Folder screen will be displayed. Enter the folder name, and in the Folder Located Under drop-down, select the folder type, either "Inbox Folder" for messages you receive or the "Track Sent Folder" for messages that you send.

Rename

Place a check in front of the folder to rename and then click the Rename button.  Only the first folder checked will be renamed. The default folders Inbox, Trash, Deleted Trash, and Archive cannot be renamed.

Delete

Place a check in front of the folders to delete and then click the Delete button.  If the folder you just deleted was initially created under the Inbox folder, all messages that were contained within that folder will be moved to the top-level Inbox folder. Messages which were contained within folders created under the Track Sent folder will be moved to the top-level Track Sent folder. For information regarding the expiration time limits on these messages please see the Message Expiration page.

Empty Folder

Click on the [Empty] link to delete all messages in the corresponding folder.  After you confirm the action, the Messages will be moved to the Trash folder.  Selecting the [Empty] link on the Trash folder while it has messages inside it will send its contents to the Deleted Trash folder. Clicking the [Empty] link on the Deleted Trash folder while it contains messages, will permanently delete them.
